    Xbox disconnects and turns off while restarting


    Hi guys,

    So I keep on turning on my Xbox to play and it tells me I need to restart. When I click on that box, the restarting begins. It shows a line divided in 3 sections and the % is reaching. When it reaches the beginning of the last third of the line, the screen
    goes darker but the white light on the power button starts blinking. Then, the screen turns off and the big xbox box turns off as well. I thought that maybe it was restarting so I left it alone, but then when I try to press the power button, the Xbox doesn't
    turn on anymore.

    So I have to unplug everything, wait for 10 minutes, plug everything back again and then it does.

    And then the whole cycle starts again.

    All Microsoft stores are closed. Does anyone know what the problem is? And what I can do to fix it?

    Hi Marugeist,

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand have questions on the process of the reset. When the console turns off it could be running things still while off. How long did you let it go before attempting to turn it on? Have seen this process take
    up to 10-15 minutes in some cases. If continues to do this you can try the
    offline update    .

    How do I stay on Xbox Live if my Xbox 360 is turned off

    When I am connected to Xbox Live and I decide to turn off my Xbox and turn it back on, then I am disconnected from Xbox Live. Is there a way to stay connected to Xbox Live permanently even if I turn off my Xbox. For instance when my Xbox downloaded an update,
    it had to restart to apply it, but when it restarted it was disconnected from Xbox Live. Please help.

    Turn off everything and restart in this order...

    Firstly, network hardware and wait until you have green lights to ensure connection.

    Then TV, then AVR if using and lastly the console.

    While the console is off, disconnect the power cord, wait for your network to restart and then follow/continue the sequence above.

    Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. I'd be happy to help.

    Are you referring to your wireless home network that was restarting?

    If the console is no longer powering on, then you need to power cycle the console. Unplug the power cable from the Xbox and from the wall outlet and leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes. Then plug it back in and power it on from the console. Try different
    outlets if the console cannot power on.
