    Xbox Digital Game Purchase Refund.


    I've heard of people successfully getting a refund for a digital game purchase. How do you go about this? I've attempted twice now to return Assassin's Creed: Unity, which is hands down the worst game I've ever played on Xbox One and MS support won't play
    ball.

    Anyone have any tips, or know if I need to call a specific number? Coming up on 10 years of XBL, and this is the first inconvenience I've had.

    Refunding or changing the ownership of Xbox live gold

    Hi there.

    At this moment in time, it is not possible to refund a digital game purchase from the Xbox Store. As stated at the time of purchase, refunds are not available for digital purchases. Unfortunately it is also not possible to transfer purchases to another account.

    Xbox Digital Game Purchase Refund.

    If you've tried twice now... unsuccessfully, I'd just chalk it up as a loss.

    I think the people who have gotten refunds, got them because the game they purchased was a broken mess upon release. I can't remember off the top of my head which game it was.

    It is clearly stated that sale is final, no refunds...... I think the only hope you would have is right after the install you called MS and said it was an accident or something like that. As for poor game quality like AC, if the game is broken you may
    have a chance , but the developer will be releasing a patch to repair..

    unfortunatley OP you wont get a refund if you think the game is broken, thats not a valid excuse, i got a refund for a digital copy of tomb raider when it was on sale back in june or july but that was because they some how took the money from my paypal account
    instead of my microsoft account when charging me, i contacted support straight away and they sorted it out, they even let me keep tomb raider because of the inconvenience.

    For digital games here is the relevant paragraph from microsoft’s terms of sale:

    For complete details on refunds for digital game offers, Xbox apps (excluding movies and tv apps), digital gaming bundle offers, and digital durable and consumable gaming offers, such as games season passes, virtual currency, and microtransactions,

    I think the only solution is to request a refund again, but Microsoft does say digital purchases are final and are only reviewed under certain circumstances.
