Xbox Digital Game installation stopped

I've been trying to install a number of digital items, but certain games keep coming up with "Installation Stopped" for no valid reason that I can tell. I've tried the following:

Checked internet connection - its fine, can play online, can download plenty of other, substantially larger games without issue.

- Checked free space - have over 1Tb available on the storage device, larger games download fine.

- Soft / Hard reset - including disconnecting power to the Xbox - no change.

- Changed storage device - have tried changing the default installation to two different USB devices as well as internal storage.

- Completely cancelled the download and started again - no change.

- The item changes to "Installation Stopped" within a few Mb every single time.

-Offline System Update

Are you trying to install a digital or disk based game?

If you are trying to install a disk based game, stop the install, go into offline mode and attempt the install again.

Please refer to these support pages and get back!

Disk based installation:

Digital Installation:
support.xbox.com/.../download-game-problem

this is founders Edition, the digital version is not from the disk

I highly recommend following the troubleshooting steps here:

After each step try to see if the issue is fixed!

First, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds, until the console shuts off, then unplug the power cord and wait for 2-3 minutes before plugging it back in and turn on the Xbox.

If the issue persists, please select System > Settings > devices and streaming > blue ray > persistent storage > clear three times > restart console.

If you are still having the same issue, you may need to update your console. For example, if you see a “Download stopped” error, you may need to install an update before the download can complete.

To see if there’s an update available:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Updates & downloads.
If there are any updates, they’ll appear in the left menu. If not, you'll see "No console update available."
