Hello, I am going to buy digital xbox live code currency cards on cduniverse, but they display the name of xbox 360 on it, I want to know if those digital codes will work on Xbox One, any help appreciated. Thanks.

How to Redeem a Code on Xbox One - QR Code or 25 Character Code

Hey guys! Okay, so you need to figure out how to redeem codes on the Xbox One? Well, there are a few ways of doing this.

1.

Login to Xbox.com (top right hand side)

In the top bar, mouse over Xbox Live Gold

You'll see 'Redeem Code' in the drop down list

Click 'Redeem' and enter your 25 digit code!

If your code is a game or DLC, it will automatically start downloading once you login to your Xbox, unless you have your Xbox in standby, which will allow it to download right away!

2.

From the main page of the Xbox One dashboard, scroll to the right to the 'Games' section and select that section -or- If your Kinect is connected, say "Xbox, Use a Code"

If you have a QR code (that square looking code thing), you can hold it up to your Kinect to redeem it.

If you have a 25 digit code, in the lower left of the screen, you have the option to "enter the 25-character code." Click that and enter your code. Confirm your code and you're all set!

Your item will automatically download. Enjoy!

Xbox gift cards and subscription cards can be used on either console.

The funds in the gift card go into your "Microsoft Account". The account can be used to make purchases on Xbox 360, Xbox One, Windows Phone, and Windows 8.

I realize that it was already answered. However, there was still some information not provided. If you think I'm only doing it for likes, I'll make you feel better by taking that line out of my sig. Does that make you feel better, Bong? Either way, the OP
is now informed that not only can he use the money on his One, he can also use that same MS currency card to make purchases on his Windows Phone and the Windows 8 Marketplace should he desire to do so.

but what about digital codes for xbox 360 games,i'm trying to buy the ninja gaiden 3 razor edge digital code from my seller.Like will that digital code work,is there some actual pal or ntsc codes for the xbox 360 console?

Hello Amelka,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. You are correct, the Xbox prepaid codes should be 25 digits long. Xbox will not take codes that are any shorter or longer.

Check your 16 digit code for any possible redeeming instructions. For example, you may be asked to redeem that 16 digit code on a publishers/third party website before getting your 25 digit Xbox code.

Is it a 9 digit code or a 25 digit code? 9 digit codes are for microsoftstore.com. You would have to make the purchase there and it gives you the option to add a promo code during checkout. You would have to contact their customer support for issues with
entering the code.

25 digit codes are Xbox codes and would be redeemed to your account before you make a purchase.

You would purchase the game digitally through the Xbox store or purchase a digital code from a retailer. Microsoft does not provide digital codes for faulty discs.

Where are you getting the code from? You say 24 digit but xbox live codes are 25 digits.
