Xbox Device repair order

Good Morning

I am trying to log a device repair order for an in-warranty Xbox Series X controller.

The right hand bumper button has failed.

I am able to log into my account, select the device from the devices list, fill out the form listing the fault and get all the way through to the place order screen, then it fails.

I choose Category - Device

Issue type - Bumper Issues.

I fill in the description of the issue.

on the next screen I choose my shipping address

Select a service method - in Warranty - standard exchange

Shipping method - receive a label by Email

Review and place order - click the checkbox agreeing to T&C's, then hit Place Order

then it comes up with

Unable to purchase the order at this time

please try again.

under view details

"Something happened at our end. Waiting a bit might help" (i have tried this over a number of days so waiting isnt helping!)

"PUR-UnknownInternalFailure"

"T5TsAqA8GEKgPTwp.25"

That's as far as I can get. Hoping someone might be able to work out what is happening here.

Hello Swebnz, as you cannot request the warranty through the site, I would recommend logging in to https://support.xbox.com and clicking on Contact Us. and

request to chat with an agent.

If you choose to chat please immediately ask to be escalated to a Microsoft Advocate (do not let them release the question to another agent) as the Advocates have account access and can open the repari order.

Sorry to hear that your HDMI port is not functional . As you already tried all the troubleshooting steps from your side and as the issue persists the next step will be request a repair order for your console

First sign in at https://support.microsoft.com/devices and then select Register new device.

After you've registered, you’ll see the warranty status for your device. If it’s within warranty, repairs are free. If your device is out of warranty, you’ll be charged a repair fee.

After you’ve registered your devices, follow these steps:

- In the Overview section of the Device repair page, select Repair my device.
- Follow the onscreen steps to complete your service order request.

After Device repair receives your submission, they’ll send you a service order number and an order confirmation email that has shipping or drop-off instructions.

Select the device that you want to be repaired.

In the end I went through the option to 'Message a gamer in the community' (I think this is the option you meant?) and this eventually led to me speaking to a customer support person at Microsoft.
