just bought the kid Xbox one and halo five game. gGuess what he can't play it till downloads from disc. Been in game for about 1 hour and is only 10%. What the duck is the deal here guys. I don't have to wait for my MP3 player to load 90000 songs before
it starts to play. This is unexecptable from a tier one company such as Microsoft. What's the purpose of this any way. The old 360 fired up the game pretty much instantly. At least we were playing. Now we are sititing here on Christmas Day, watching our hair
grow. Thanks Microsoft for putting out a useless game console I think I will get the old 360 out from the rafters and play halo 4. Hope you guys sleep well on your bags of money. We put a Mann on the moon almost 50 years ago. And this is How far we've come.
Seems like a step. Backwards? How could any one in QC have passed this ****. They should be made to sit at the people's homes who buy this game console and explain to them why it takes days to load a game .

Unhappy Xbox one owner so far!

  2. Microsoft should be ashamed of themselves

I think it's absolutely shocking Microsoft are not supplying XBOX ONE to XBOX ONE X gamers a free kinect adaptor, its disgrace borderline criminal.

MICROSOFT FORCED EARLY ADAPTORS TO GET THE KINECT - its not the consumers fault the kinect failed so WHY are we being penalised.

Microsoft don't even have the decency to offer credit towards the Kinect adaptor. CHARGE AFTER CHARGE but microsoft will just ignore it as per usual.

    To those jumping ship

To be honest the "innovation" should be coming from the game developers...not the consoles themselves.

All I want when I play games in terms of a new console is "muscle".

I do not want to watch TV on it, play music or films or anything else.

I want it to play games...it's a games machine right?

I want the games to be bigger, better and more innovative yes. But again, that innovation should come from the game developers.

I completely agree with the sentiments of LeakedBubbles7. We received a new Xbox One S for Christmas; plugged in to television to start playing games with family, but much to my disbelief and consternation, the console automatically needed a huge update.
That update was followed by each (of two) controllers also needing an update. Additionally, we put in a disc to play, as opposed to downloading one of the games that came with the console bundle package, the game has to install before it can be played--even
though it is on a disc...--then, once the game had finally finished installing, it required another update (5.42 GB). The download speeds on all updates was incredibly slow--assumedly due to mass usage by similar customers. All told, we have not been able
to play anything yet and it has been over 4 hours and counting. This is quite ridiculous and infuriating. We will not be able to enjoy playing this new big purchase with family and friends on Christmas due to the unbelievable amount of required downloads/updates/etc.
It is preposterous and unbelievable that there I cannot just turn on the console and play the game. Rather, I must have the console with wi-fi or hard-lined, yet xbox's servers are so overloaded that the download rates are pathetic (think dial-up, and keep
in mind that I have Google fiber). All said, I am very disappointed with all aspects thus far, but very frustrated at the requirements just to get going.

Also an unhappy/disappointed Xbox One S owner thus far,

    Micah

Well....should research before you buy. The installation requirement was announced years ago. From now on, get only digital downloads and trash the discs. However there is a way around the slow installation: before you insert the disc, go into the settings
and select Go offline. Then insert disc and the console will upload the game from the disc itself which usually is a lot faster.

And another thing: some games like Titanfall, require a Xbox Live sub. And the split screen play like Halo 4 has is also vanishing: Halo 5 doesn't have it at all anymore.

This sounds like it's best directed to the developers themselves as they should be able to implement new/different events to allow everyone to earn the multiplayer events. It's not really a support issue so there's not a whole lot we can do on the forums
here, but reach out to the developers and see if they can help out.
