    Xbox Desktop App can't switch profile


    I got a new system and logged into the desktop app using an email address for an xbox account I don't use. I have tried to sign out to log into the account I do use, but every time I click "Sign In" it auomatically logs me in to the previous account. I've
    already tried resetting the app, uninstalling it etc. It probably doesn't help that the email address I use for my microsoft account is that same address as the xbox profile that I don't use. The xbox profile that I do use has a different email address. Any
    advice on how to get my unused xbox profile off of the App so I can sign into my proper xbox profile?

    Game Bar can only record individual games or apps, it can't record the desktop or switching between Windows applications.

    If want to do that, they will need a third party application.

    Software such as OBS can record the desktop. It's free and safe.

    Thank you for letting me know. Let's check if the correct EA account is linked to your Xbox profile.

    On your EA Desktop App please follow the steps below:

    Go to Settings, under my account you will see "manage", you will be redirected to the EA webpage, from there go to "Connections". Please check if the Xbox profile that has an active Xbox Game Pass subscription is the one that you will see from there.

    Once confirmed that the correct Xbox profile and EA profile is linked uninstall and reinstall the EA Desktop App.

    Can't corroborate.

    My MS email, name and gamertag are all ANSI alphanumeric. Desktop and Laptop both set up during OOBE with passwordless login, so they both use a cut off version of my name as profile name.

    Desktop works, Laptop doesn't.
