    I am still majorly upset and annoyed with how Microsoft manages and has implemented this capture system where they get deleted after 90 days. I even turn on the auto upload to onedrive and it still seems that none of my captures have even uploaded anyway. Microsoft is one of the biggest companies in the s&p 500 but can't store a little more data on their cloud? What is this feature even for? My question is, why they are deleted FROM YOUR OWN INTERNAL STORAGE. Captures should have always been uploaded to your internal storage, like a gallery, and you can manage to delete them in exchange for your total storage. Why was this never a thing. Although the community servers are small on xbox, people STILL UPLOAD THERE. Removing the capture system, that made a real big impression on me when I even first bought the xbox one, and now doing this system, which is totally ridiculous. I dont even understand why this is a thing. Microsoft, this is why people consider your competitors. I'll most likely move platforms after being on xbox for 10+ years because they have the audacity to barely give notice for capture deletion, and removing captures that for some, hold memories of long passed relatives and friends. Please somebody give me a reason as to why captures were never first stored to your internal hard drive. That makes it entirely less complicated and better for xbox owners than whatever this silly system is

    Xbox captures are completely broken?

    On your console Home Guide menu select Capture & share > Recent captures >Show all >Manage captures

    That will show you your captures you have uploaded to the Xbox network. You can change this to captures on this console to show those captures.

    If you change the look on screen to small icons (press 4 squares) you will have other options as well as a delete choice.

    Looking at this screen outlay, on console captures will inform you if they have been uploaded to the Xbox network or not.

    Captures on the console that have been uploaded to the xbox network can be deleted from the console if you want. Be aware that there is a finite available space on the console for captures that fills up very quickly if you make a lot of clips and/or screenshots.

    Uploaded Captures on the xbox network can also be deleted.

    I use the sort option and delete captures regularly from both my console and Xbox network to keep my captures manageable.

    It sounds like when you connect online the server thinks it has more up to date content than your console itself. What location are you saving your clips to locally? Might be worth trying to save them to some kind of external disk.

    See if they are still available in the hard drive. (Captures Menu - Filter for "Saved in console")

    The best is to explain how works the capture system in xbox one. When you capture a screenshot or a clip the first thing that the console do is save locally, in the hard drive and then will automatically (if you have cloud space available) upload to xbox live
    server. Even if you delete or xbox live deletes the capture, it will be always available locally in the hard drive.

    There are multiple reports regarding this so this can be a temporary issue on the server. There are no official announcements yet from Microsoft but you can also try some steps that can help us that might help:

    You can try changing your DNS. Go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings > manual

    Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8

    Secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4

    then check again.
