Xbox debit card issues

Hello there I have come across a problem when trying to buy gold on my xbox and on the website, I had a debit card on my Microsoft account from when I had a 360 and jist tried to use it for the first month of gold deal but when I proceeded to the payment
options page there was nothing there just the add a new payment option button, this happened on the xbox one and the xbox website, strangely if I go on to my Microsoft account on the website it says VISA and the end of my card number on my profile but when
I try to purchase something or go to payment options it's saying nothings there, I also tried adding my card as a new payment option but it says I can't pay with this option, most likely because it apparently already exists on the account even though It won't
show up, this is the first time I've had issues with this on xbox so I'm really not sure if it's a common thing or if there's a fix, any help is greatly appreciated thanks

I use Debit and Gift cards. Sometimes the gift cards can be had for cheap. Otherwise I just my debit card. Its been on file for like 5 years and never had an issue. MS security is top notch.

Does the region of your account match your physical location? It's possible your payment method is tied to an address outside of your account's region which is preventing you from completing the purchase. If all is under the correct region, are you able to
try a different payment method instead?

What if you dont use paypal and are using a debit card instead, does this issue still apply to those who are using a debit card to pay for Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold?

That makes sense. It does seem like something Microsoft should have addressed by now, but I can see how a giant company takes time to make changes. I will try that and see if it works. Thanks!

This might be an obvious question seeming how you must've tried this from the start, but did you swtich all your new information from the card that you just got, over to your Xbox? I believe you stated that you did and you were having trouble doing it, but
Xbox has to give a reason as to why they banned your card, I'm sad to say I have not EVER heard of this happening to someone such as you. Ecstasy, this might be a blant and more irritating way of doing things but you may should just get a new debit card.

However, if none of this was helpful then the next time I will try to revamp my opinions up to be a suitable answer to your solution.

Basically, I was told that the card number cannot be re-used. I can understand that. This doesn't really explain why I couldn't attach my bank account to it, though. After some time to think about it, I guess it's not the end of the world to use the pre-paid
cards, but that's why I did the auto renewal in the first place. I guess I could ask for another debit card, it's just inconvenient. Maybe I'll try a different rep like you say.
