    This is by far the worst customer service protocol I have ever experienced in my entire life.

    I realize this is not pertinent, but I have owned every Microsoft Gaming Console. I have never posted poorly about my previous issues with Microsoft, but this one takes the cake. I have a first release console and the controller started going bad. I attempted
    to reach out to @XboxSupport for feedback and information. Literally... I have had more fruitful conversations with my 18 month old daughter... After constantly having to repeat my previous tweets, and continually answering what I have done to troubleshoot
    the issue to different support reps. I was never asked about my purchase date, whether this controller came w/ the console, etc. I finally had to ask. Do I have to buy a new controller? The reply was, do you have another console you can troubleshoot the
    issue with. Yeah, I'm just buying up 500 dollar consoles by the truckload... Seriously, Twitter support... enjoy your job while you have it, because if Microsoft is looking to cut costs. You should be it.

    THAT ISNT EVEN MY ISSUE...

    I took a few day break to gather my thoughts and contacted support via text. The controller is faulty and covered under warranty. But... because I was unlucky enough to purchase 1st Gen Junk from Microsoft... I have to pay for shipping. ARE YOU KIDDING?
    This is, honestly, the only company I know operating this way. If my 600 dollar iPhone is under warranty and malfunctions... I send it in, free of charge and receive a new one. If my computer breaks down, same thing. I am not even troubled with not having
    a controller for 2 weeks, as mentioned before... I am a parent. I will find something to do for the next 2 weeks... I think it is ridiculous to foot the bill of your shortcomings on your consumers. Ridiculous.

    Needless to say, I will call in and try to talk to someone willing to budge on this issue. I am certain this post will be deleted. At some point loyalty, respect for their consumer and overall common courtesy has to play a part. This is my 2nd warranty
    issue with this console... first was the connect. I blew through 4 Xbox 360's. I am 30, married with a kid... I don't play that frequently and take care of my belongings.

    Produce a superior product, thank the day 1 people for being your beta testers and reward them with free shipping on WARRANTIED products.

    What can be done about this? I've had the controller since day 1 and I'm sure that means the warranty is over.

    Hello Tomasz,

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Xbox one standard controllers have 90 days of warranty. After that time has passed, you would have to buy a new one if you would like to replace your controller. The exceptions being the Design lab controllers
    (120 day warranty) and the elite controllers (1 year warranty). If you purchased "Microsoft complete" with your console then you may have the extended warranty that extends to the controllers as well.

    The warranty for controllers is 90 days in the USA/Canada and 1 year in the EU. Out of warranty costs are about the same as a new controller.

    I regret to inform you, but replacement controllers don't have 12 months of warranty. Actually, a replacement controller has a 90-day warranty.

    Typically, every Xbox accessory or controller has 90 days of warranty (excluding the Elite Series controller, that has 1 year)
