    Xbox data not syncing from pc game pass


    I have been playing persona 4 golden on my pc for about a week now, but before that I had around 5 hours saved on my Xbox. I was able to play from my pc due to it saving my date thru my account, just like it should. However, when I got back to my Xbox, I loaded up the same game on my series X. As it does, it “syncs data” and when it finished, I was on the game menu and was gonna load my save and just enjoy the game. However, this time in the load saves there is “no data”. I tried restarting and I couldn’t get it to sync again, it didn’t even give me an option. Is there anyway I can ge my saved data back?

    Almost same issue here. Play only on PC with Game Pass, don't have Xbox. It keeps freezing on "Syncing data" screen when I start the game.

    Ah ok, I just assumed you started out on Xbox, with the PC having to sync data,

    The only time i have to data sync is when I'm playing from Xbox to PC ( sync happens on PC ) or PC to Xbox ( sync happens on Xbox ),

    I don't know why it would need to sync data if you started out and just play on PC,

    I'm not sure what else you can try, other than try to uninstall and reinstall the game to see if it has any affect or if it fixes the issue.

    Forza Horizon 5 progress lost

    There's one thing i can think of to try get your data back,

    You'll need to install the Xbox App and then install Forza Horizon 5 from Gamepass Xbox App on to your PC/Laptop as all your save data is now stored somewhere on your PC/Laptop local storage,

    Once done,

    Launch Forza Horizon 5 from the Xbox App, not from Cloud Gaming and don't let the data sync as you'll have two different data saves, one is now local on your PC ( your main save data ), the other from the Cloud ( your new fresh start data ), you don't want to overwrite the save data that you accidentally saved to your PC's local storage,



    The game needs to load the save data from your local storage on PC to get your save data back,

    Once you've loaded FH5 from the Xbox App and you are in game,

    You should be able to see everything back after you've done this, then let the game save and you can exit, and then try launch FH5 from Cloud Gaming, let the data sync/ sync to the cloud and you should have everything back, hopefully.

    you cannot play the xbox version on your pc, you’ll need to download the pc version from the microsoft store then sync your game play data to the xbox app to get all the xbox game data.
