Xbox data gone and account looks as if it was reset

I removed my xbox profile from my series x on accident so i re added the profile and everything looked reset, my user name is the old one i had when i first bought the console and so is my profile picture, my g coins are gone, my friends list is empty, my backround for the dashbored was reset, and when this issue first happened i made a whole new microsoft account and profile and added it to my xbox, i then played a game for a bit just to make progress on it, i remove the profile and re add it and sure enough the same thing happened, and at the time i was able to play the games but all the progress was gone but as of typing this i see all the games in my library but i click it to play and it says i dont own my games so i go to the microsoft store and it looks as if ive never bought the game but i did, i dont think i can recover the data but i wanna make sure this never happens again. pls help.

That's really strange, removing the profile doesn't make you lose data and purchased content.

That only happens if you delete your Microsoft account using a web browser.

Please double check if maybe you're using the same email address, or if you think maybe you forgot the actual one.

Try recovering it via the account recovery form here: https://account.live.com/password/reset

You can try all the emails you remember or if you had a phone number attached to the account, you can use that too.

Or you can try filling the account recovery form:
