Xbox dashboard update issue.

When on the xbox dashboard and xbox quick menu, the 'a' button on the controller loses function,
THIS PROBLEM ONLY HAPPENS ON THE DASHBOARD AND QUICK MENU.

the button works normally in launched apps and games, the problem is being able to launch apps and games as well as sending invites to parties, viewing profiles, game invites, signing in and out of accounts, and any other function that uses the 'a' button
on the controller. one thing i know for sure is that the issue is not controller related and is more console related

DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON A NEW CONTROLLER. if you can play games with the controller fine, with out issue, your controller is fine and fully functional. as far as a fix for this issue, i have nothing to offer as switching controllers and resetting
my system doesnt work. it is my conclusion that this is only an issue regarding the xbox preview program and the new dashboard update we are trying out. Any tips on how to fix this issue are greatly appreciated by myself and anybody else experiencing
this issue.

New Xbox One System Update Goes Live Today

Xbox One will be receiving a system update in the next few hours that focuses on addressing certain issues involving the dashboard, notifications, SmartGlass, and matchmaking, Microsoft has announced.

In a post announcing the new update, Major Nelson outlined just what the update will do:

Addresses SmartGlass issues for some users when coming in and out of connected standby
Addresses multiplayer issues for some users when re-joining games
Addresses issues with inconsistent notifications for some users
Addresses dashboard performance for some users
Offers improvements for Xbox One's TV, system update, and content update services for scaling over time

The article also when on to note that those with the "Instant On" feature enabled will be first to get the update since it will roll out in waves. Everyone else will received it by Thursday 12/12/13. I for one am very happy to see Microsoft quickly begin to fix the many small issues or bug currently found on the Xbox One. We can only hope they continue to be persistent and hasten.

Okay, so you've concluded it's a bug or something that's occurring because of the preview program. Well, YOU SIGNED UP FOR THIS. Is it truly worth the grief and inconvenience just to "preview" stuff? Heck, functionality and reliability is the very reason
I signed up for Xbox and I'm enjoying the benefits EVERY DAY. Ain't no way I'd sacrifice usability for some dumb preview perks.

That's very true I made the choice to sign up for the preview program, I was just told to post about it so that Microsoft can do more to resolve the issue as well as to find others experiencing any issues related to this, hence why i went into detail about
what is happening and that its not just a controller issue. If you don't want anything to do with the preview program and its "Dumb perks" than that's your choice and a respectable choice. But like I said, I was told to post about it on the forums so that
i could find either a fix for the problem or at least find other people having a problem like this one.

Sorry you're having issues with the NXOE preview. This question would be best suited in the private early access forum located here. Please repost this question over there so the proper folks can see it.

Hi Biig Glyn,

You can't really just roll back. You need to un-enroll your device in the preview program dashboard app. Then wait for the next big update to take your console out of the program. No one can give you an ETA on the un-enrollment status or when the next big
update will come, so it may take a while.
