Xbox dashboard not loading, getting some error message.

Okay, i usually don't like to post on these forums, but i am at a loss.

I wasn't having too much issues with my xbox one until today, when i noticed it was a bit laggy starting up. It would take a few minutes, but once it got onto the dashboard, it was fine, gaming as usual. Well i took a break after playing just cause 3 for
a couple of hours, and the next time i turned it on i got a message saying "home took too long to load" or something like that, then a bit after that the screen stayed blank and then i got some error message that looked bad on a black screen. Telling me to
contact customer support.

i tried holding the power button off for 5 or 6 seconds, but that didn't work

I havn't even had this console for a year yet :/

Not getting the error message now, just have the loading icon running on an endless loop.

 

Games not loading since dashboard update

As the title says, since the recent update I've had intermittent loading issues with games. I was getting suitably vague error messages like 'something went wrong when loading your game', but even they've stopped. Now my games just sit on the startup screen
for a while then drop me out to the dashboard. Anyone else having this issue?

 

Hi, with the Xbox powered on try pressing and holding the power button on the Xbox for at least 10 seconds, when the Xbox powers off disconnect the power supply from the mains power outlet for 5 minutes, hook things back up and power the Xbox on again using
the power button on the Xbox.

 

that sounds like it could be a profile issue , sign out of yours then back in and see if it clears it up...if still no , remove it from the console , shut everything down (console and modem and router) then when its all back up , re add your profile...

 

if the above 2 suggestions don't work , might be time for a factory reset...

 

Unfortuently i can't seem to do anything now, i just tried to turn it on again, and after doing nothing for about 5 minutes, i've gotten the same same error message, and after doing some reservh it's the black screen of death :/
