Xbox dashboard/home screen bug

My son's xbox loads up then the screen is just black and when u press the home button on the pad it pops up with the side screen but the controller doesn't do anything on it weird as it was literally working fine 5 mins ago , tries the usual hard reset
and what not but nothing is working also tried to speak to customer support but tits down too I see there is a few doing the same so hopefully be sorted with a quick update shortly

I'm having this issue too, I tried troubleshooting the Xbox but that just made everything like Xbox 360 graphics. After troubleshooting I still have a black screen. Please fix this : (

Same thing is happening to me but i when on twiter and xbox is aware of this, they working on fixing the problem

Sorry to hear that you're one of the many that were affected by our Service Alert.

This has been since resolved and cleared by our engineers, so if you're still experiencing the same issue, then I would suggest power cycling as outlined in

How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console.
