Xbox cycling the tv power for no reason

Since the new update my Xbox one has been cycling the tv power on and off repeatedly even when i'm just sitting at the dashboard. I've even tried disabling the tv control settings by deleting the TV. Is this a common problem? I am concerned because my
Xbox one is nearing one year old and even though i've barely used it in that year it will be out of warranty soon. Please help me figure out what to do.

    :)

  2. TV pass through stopped working

    Daemon,

Power cycling should resolve the issue for you if it is playing straight from the cable box to the TV just not through the Xbox. Power cycling (holding the console button for 8 seconds while it's on) is not the same as restarting the console. Power cycling
clears the cache and resets the network card, which will typically always fix the HDCP issue unless there is another problem.

  3. xbox one stops allowing me to watch tv

    Cold,

Try power cycling your console by holding the Xbox Console power button for 8 seconds until it powers down, then wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on again, and see if this resolves your TV issues. Power cycling is not the same as restarting the console.
Additionally, power cycling clears the cache and resets the network card which will typically resolve a lot of issues. Let us know and we'll go from there.

  4. Xbox cycling the tv power for no reason

I know you have removed the TV from the settings but have you tried to re-add it and maybe try other codes for Xbox to use for control?

It is possible that it is cycling because the remote code is not the correct one.

I would definitely suggest trying the setup of the TV again to see if that resolves it.

    Good Luck.

    Blu-ray App Error 0x91d7000a

I'm having this problem with a few DVDs.

On probably a related note-- the "HDMI Auto-Detect" function stopped working. This has worked on this tv before and for some reason it stopped working. I had to manually select HDMI.

    -I've switched HDMI Cables

-I've power cycled the XBOX One

    -I've power cycled my TV

-I'm fairly confident that I've played this DVD on the XBox one before and it's stopped working

-I'm running the beta UI updates

    Game Updates Download Extremely Slow

Power cycle your console. Occasionally download speeds will drop for no apparent reason and a quick power cycle has a tendency to flush out the issue.

Let us know how you get on.

    People with TV problems now

    Turbo,

If the TV was playing through the Xbox at some point and you currently can't watch it, try power cycling the Xbox (not the same as restarting/resetting). To power cycle the console hold the Xbox console touch button for 8 seconds until it powers off. Now
wait 30 seconds, turn it back on, and see if this resolves the TV issue. Let us know if this works for you.

Getting Voice chat to go through my TV, not my headset.

Try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) the console, then sign in and open up party chat with someone - without at any point plugging the headset
in - and see if you get voice over TV or not.
