In February upon generating a new gamertag there was a promotion on my dashboard for New Gold Users to purchase 12 months Live gold + Rainbow Six Siege. After waiting a while for a redemption code to be sent to me through my message board I reached out on
March 4th to figure out why I hadn’t received the promotional code yet. I told Alexis, the representative helping me the situation and sent screenshots of my receipts and was told on March 5th there was still no decision and I thanked her for keeping me informed.
On March 9th I received the following email listed as a screen shot. On April 25th I tried to reply to the email chain saying I still haven’t received a code however I received an automatic response, “Thank you for contacting Xbox Customer Support. The
Service Request in this email has been closed. If you need further assistance, please visit http://support.xbox.com.” Makes sense
considering on March 9th I was told I was all taken care of. Due to reality of being a full-time worker and student I never had enough time to contact them again given its taken several hours at this point.
Today I was asked by my boyfriend if I ever received the code, which I hadn’t, and contacted Xbox Customer Support again only the experience I had was frustrating and quite frankly ridiculous. I was connected to a location in the Philippines and
they wouldn’t provide a location number or employee numbers or else I would be referring to them as those numbers. First I spoke to Alvin who treated me as if I was xbox illiterate and followed up by asking me questions such as are you sure you hadn’t already
redeemed it? Or do I mean xbox game pass instead? Am I sure? (There were other questions which I doubt I would be asked if my name was (Removed by Moderator-Personal Information.) He was also was suspicious of the fact its been a few months.
Having multiple responsibilities, I don’t get to play as often as I’d like, which quite frankly shouldn’t matter. After being offended by Alvin 30 minutes into the conversation I asked to speak to a manager. He then proceeded to place me on hold several more
times saying he’s getting me my code assigned, he comes back 55minutes into the conversation saying he can’t do anything for me and that I can speak to a manager but they’ll say the same thing, I agreed and waited for Saye to come on and offer me somehow less
comprehensive customer service than Alvin did which is mind blowing. I stated I have the email attached below which says I definitely participated in the promotion. Saye is telling me that there was no such promotion until March when I signed up for a New
Gold User in February, which frankly doesn’t make sense that I was able to 1) click the promotion and pay for it, and 2) be told I was all taken care of by another Xbox Customer Service representative. Saye was continuously interrupting me and speaking rudely,
which at this point I had an attitude myself considering the fact that no matter how many times I stated I have an email the definitely says I participated, and being told they have NO listing of this email on their end. I then ask to speak to someone above
her, to which I was told again they’ll tell me the same thing, so then I begin speaking with Ren. Ren, the second comanager I spoke to, who also didn’t know which game I was referring too (Sea of thieves was mentioned and I corrected her) at least had the
courtesy of listening to me when I spoke initially but then again treated me poorly. I sent her a screenshot of the email, that the previous workers said they had no record of and upon receiving it she tells me they have the email and are not validating the
email as it was a mistake of the first worker I spoke to, Alexis. Despite the fact she was working with coordinators on figuring out why I never received a code. Ren then suggests I reply to the email listed to speak directly with Alexis, when I responded
that’s not possible since I have already tried this route in April and received the automatic response the issue was resolved. So, these comanagers above offering horrible subpar customer service do not even comprehend the limitations of the email platform
they use. Ren then repeats that since the promotion has ended there’s nothing they can do to send me a code. So, I asked about the possibility of receiving credit to purchase the game with this credit and mentioned I should receive further restitution considering
I have wasted another hour and a half on this issue. They told me they would not issue me anything. Obviously that’s incredibly frustrating so I asked to speak to someone higher than her, and she tried to pass me to another co manager to which I stated that
I wanted to talk to their supervisor she declined saying it was impossible since they are in the “back office and they don’t receive phone calls.” I am seeking further assistance considering upon hanging up the phone I received an additional emailing saying
my issue was resolved, which clearly it is not.
