pretty much we cant change our gamerpictures because they disabled the feature due to people being at home playing games.

personally i dont see the point in this as it is very annoying that i cant change my custom picture and it is stuck as one that i dont like anymore.

microsoft you need to add this feature back.

i bet playstation isnt doing this

Maybe not but Sony are throttling download speeds on PSN so each platform is dealing with the massive increase in user traffic in their different ways.

The point is that disabling custom gamer pics,backgrounds etc. free's up people to work on more important things & puts less stress on xbox live.

On March 27, 2020, Xbox turned off a few features for custom uploads on the Xbox services. Here are the features that are impacted:

Custom Gamerpics on all platforms (Temporarily)
Custom club pics on all platforms (Temporarily)
Custom club backgrounds on all platforms (Temporarily)
Custom captures and game clips on Xbox Console Companion PC (Beta) app (Permanent)

As people look to gaming for social connection, Xbox is seeing record numbers across Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Live, and Mixer. To streamline moderation and ensure the best experience for the community, Xbox has made small adjustments. Some features like uploading
custom gamerpics, club pics, and club backgrounds are temporarily disabled.

You will also be unable to upload custom images in the following areas:
Custom Gamerpics on all platforms (Temporarily)
Custom club pics on all platforms (Temporarily)
Custom club backgrounds on all platforms (Temporarily)
Uploading captures and game clips on Xbox Console Companion (Beta) app on PC (Permanent)

Keep a eye on XBOX Support. I'm sure they will advise everyone when they turn it back on.

Due to the length of time we all have to bunker down while this pandemic is causing mayhem right around the world, I'd say it won't be very soon in the near future.

You'll just have to be patient and thankful we can still play our games while in isolation.
