    xbox custom controller needs replacing under warranty


    My Son has a design lab wireless xbox controller that is still under warranty.

    I cannot use the online controller replacement form as everytime I input the PID number or the serial number I get the same failure message telling me the serial number isnt recognised because it is a desgn lab controller.

    The same happens when I try to add the device to my microsft account meaning that I cannot start a service repair order form my account either. I have tried speaking to the online customer support, but every time i get to the serial number part it fails
    as there simply is no option to choose a design lab/custom sontroller and they will not recognise the serial number.

    How on earth can I request a replacement for this controller, it is totally unusable due to drift and we have tried all of the troubleshooting options with no luck. Help !!!

    try replacing the batteries, controllers are accessories and it comes with a 90 day warranty from the date of purchase,. if you think it is under warranty call the customer support they can process a replacement for you.

    There are no user suggested fixes for controllers. If broken and not under warranty you will need to replace it.

    can you borrow a different controller to confirm whether the problem is with the Xbox or the controller?

    if it works fine on a different controller then you will need to get the controller repaired/replaced (standard warranty is 90 days but some retailers have a longer warranty if you didn't get it direct from Microsoft/Xbox)

    if the problem continues with a different controller then you should set get it replaced under warranty.
