@GG well I will try to put this thread back on track fingers crossed before it turns into another flame war thread. I think MS want more Japanese type games on their console after all they are gearing up for the Chinese market.

Ori and the blind forest is definitely a stab at this, the game is obviously influenced by Japanese video games of the past. Even the developer said he grew up playing the likes of Mario and Sonic.

Microsoft need to diversify more from the likes of Halo and Gears etc.
