Xbox crossplay error

I went to go play fortnite and it told me that i need to allow cross network play and communication outside of xbox but when i checked both were still on but fortnite still says that they arent ive tried restarting both the game and console and turning the settings on and off but it still says the same thing

If I remember it was an error that it happened in the first place. It's not a matter of Xbox not wanting crossplay, in all respects its been Sony speaking out against it. Minecraft is crossplay on all mediums I believe, except Sony.

already checked the privacy settings.

To change the privacy settings your account must be an adult account, otherwise you will not have access.

see it in your privacy settings:

if your account is for a child, you need an adult account to link your account and manage your privacy settings

it is only crossplay between xbox and PC, phones use a different server and therefore no crossplay.

Games that will be released on all platforms will hopefully all have crossplay in the future.

The new Call of Duty to be released is the 1st of many i hope to be crossplay between console platforms.

There is currently a few games that is crossplay enabled between pc and Xbox.

Minecraft has more platforms available for crossplay.
