    XBOX Cross Play Error


    Hello! I was on Fortnite and I was having an issue on XBOX's end, not Epic Games. So, what happened is that I tried playing with my friend who is on Playstation, if I was on Switch, I would be able to play, so I know this is XBOX's problem. So, my friend
    was on Playstation and I was gonna play with him and it said "XBOX Cross-Play Error" Then, I clicked "Accept" to editing the settings, and guess what it said? "Cross Platform Play Restricted" then under that it says, "You have been removed from the party because
    your XBOX Live User doesn't have permissions for Cross-Play." I went into my XBOX Settings, Cross-Play wasn't even there. This has been a problem for a while at this point and I am pissed. Give me feedback to help, please!

    Hello Andrew,

    Sorry for the issue with Cross play. The settings is under privacy and online safety, then Xbox live privacy. It is then under communication and multiplayer go to view details and customize, the titles of the two options you need allowed are:

    1. You can play with people outside Xbox live
    2. You can communicate outside of Xbox live with voice and text
    These two options are for the enabling cross play. There also is a crossplay setting in Fortnite itself. If it tells you need a parent to change these. Then you need parent account to change these settings.

    Cross play and cross saves are possible between steam and windows store versions. You just can’t buy on steam then play on Xbox.

    Well it is cross save compatible just not in the way you mentioned

    Play anywhere title only apply to Xbox platform not steam

    Also cross saves usually only apply to same platforms with the rare exceptiOns of certain titles

    Steam saves are steam saves and Xbox one's are encrypted

    However.achievements do carry over

    'Forza Horizon 5 will support cross-play and cross-save across Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows 10 PC, and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
    Steam will have support for cross-play, but cross-save with Xbox is not supported.
