    Xbox credit in wrong currency

    Hi,

I recently received $10 credit in the wrong currency - It’s currently displaying as R150 South African Rand.

Can the credit please be converted to Australian dollars – AUD so it can be usable?

My account is listed as Australia, which is the country I currently reside in.

I’ve tried contacting Xbox support who then forwarded me to Live Reward support who then told me to post here. Hopefully this is the right place!

    Thanks!

    :)

    Pending credits wrong currency

    Hello Fumetsu Akaichi,

We see that you registered into the program as a British Microsoft Account user. On March 25, 2013, you first switched to the Netherlands for your Microsoft Account. However, since a Rewards Account is a promotional account separate from your Microsoft Account,
changing the region in your Microsoft Account will not change your region in your Rewards Account. We see that due to your regional currencies mismatching, you were unable to receive a deposit until February 2015. This is because in August 17, 2014, you switched
back to the United Kingdom region, so your Rewards Account and Microsoft Account regions were again matching. We see that you then decided to switch back to the Netherlands and United Kingdom regions a few more times, ultimately culminating with you switching
and staying in the Netherlands region since April 21st, 2016. You then chose to remain in that region and continue to request deposits, which failed since you are not a Netherlands Rewards Member. Previously, you could resolve this issue by switching your
Microsoft Account region to match your Rewards Account region, or by closing your old Rewards Account and creating a new one that would match your then current Microsoft Account region. However, since the program has ended in your region, if we are unable
to perform a deposit, you will receive your Credits as Microsoft Points, as specified in the transition FAQ previously available on the website and now featured at (Microsoft Rewards - FAQs zum Wechsel von Xbox Live Rewards zu Microsoft Rewards):

If Xbox Live Rewards is unable to deposit into your account for some reason, as long as you have not opted out to make the transition to Microsoft Rewards, any undeposited Xbox Live Rewards Credits and unredeemed MyVIP Gems will be automatically converted
to Microsoft Rewards points and be added to your Microsoft Rewards account to redeem for whatever you choose from the Microsoft Rewards catalogue.

  3. Pending credits wrong currency

I have started tickets regarding this issue before, but so far no one has either been able or willing to help. Apparently the pending credits can only be deposited as British currency, even though I have never even been to the UK. So it's obviously a technical
error. Now 13.000 credits can not be deposited in to my Dutch account. This issue has been pending since 2015, and the offered solution was to change my account to the British region, which I did for several months.

That never prompted a deposit either, and after several months I changed my account region back to the Netherlands. So now I have all these credits I've been earning since 2015, which I can't get. And every time I ask for help I get told the same thing.
Even though I already explained that changing the region didn't work and that I was never in the UK to begin with.

Please offer me a permanent solution this time. I know for a fact that it is possible to simply deposit the currency amount equal to the pending credits into my account. I understand that it's not a go to solution, and you're told to say and do whatever
you can to not have to offer anything that costs anything. But this is an issue that has been going on for over three years. That should count as an exceptional situation in which an exceptional solution should be offered.

Please don't send me the standard answer and ignore any follow up as your colleagues have been doing for the past few years.

I appreciate your time and assistance. Thanks in advance.

This is getting ridiculous, it has already been posted to the Reward forums, who forwarded me here. Rewards post:

I’ve also contacted Xbox support who won’t help me either.

Is everyone just trying to fob me off to the next department? It feels like I’m getting nowhere.

    Hey there ItsCutieTootie.

Unfortunately there isn't an option to convert the currency associated with your account. If the region of your account was set differently than your physical location it may have led to receiving the incorrect currency for the promotion. Be sure to keep
the region of your account set correctly to avoid any issues such as this.
