Xbox Crashing within Minutes of Playing Fortnite

I recently updated Fortnite with the newest available, my xbox has never crashed before this update and now it crashes within minutes of entering the battle royal mode of Fortnite. It crashes every single match ive tried to play. Anyone have any suggestions
on how to fix this?

Xbox keeps crashing when playing Fortnite

My XBox OneS keeps crashing when playing Fortnite. Also crashing when I play Sims4 and Overwatch, but not as often.

Does anyone know why this might be happening?

fortnite keeps freezing and crashing

 

I find when a game crashes a lot for me, I uninstall it and just redownload it. Have you tried doing that?

 

I had this happen with Destiny 2 yesterday. A hard reset of the console did the trick for me.

Check that your console doesn't have any updates to do, after that most likely a hard reset will clear up the issue.

This issue isn't uncommon for game previews such as Fortnite, what we've seen works is like previously posted, Uninstall and reinstall. Try it and let us know how it goes!
