Hi Guys, I'm sure at this point everybody is already aware of this issue, was playing cyberpunk when the game just froze and the xbox completely shuts down just leaving the controller turned on. People where having this issue two months ago so surely by now there should be a fix right ? Any update? Has Microsoft said anything ? Should I get it returned?

I have tried using other wall outlets Xbox plug directly in. Monitor is right next to Xbox but plenty of space for everything to vent and breathe. I’ve tried a bunch of diffent games just seams like the Xbox fan doesn’t wanna pick up any more speed and stays at one spot

Hi, Nate! Thank you for reaching out.
I'm AJ, an Independent Advisor for the Xbox Community.
I'm sorry you are experiencing issues with your console.

If you don't mind, I'd like to ask you a couple of questions:

    - Besides the TV, are there any external devices plugged into your console?

    - Do you get any warnings or error messages regarding overheating?

    - Is this happening with multiples or any games you try to launch?

    - To clarify, are the outlets you tried wall outlets? Sometimes using extension cords, power strips, surge protectors, and similar devices can cause this kind of problem.

Thank you! I'll be looking forward to your reply.
    Best regards.

    Xbox shutting down mid game

Hi, Nate! Thank you for your reply and additional information.

If there are any external devices connected to your console's Expansion card or USB ports, please try unplugging them and checking if the issues persist. If you haven't already, I'd also suggest moving the console to a different room to rule out any electrical problems with your console's current location.

If that doesn't work, I'm afraid my only other suggestion would be to perform a factory reset on your console to refresh its system and clear any corrupted files that may be causing this.

    - Go to Settings > System > Console info > Reset Xbox > Select "Remove everything".
    - Keep in mind you will need an internet connection and your account details (for each account) to sign in again.

    * Note: Resetting your console to its factory defaults erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost. If your console has been constantly connected to the internet and the Xbox Network, your saved data should be backed up on the cloud.

    -------

Should the previous solutions not work, it would be best to have your console serviced by Microsoft. To check your console's warranty status and issue a service order:

    - Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices
    - Click on "Register Device"
    - Enter your console's serial number and all required information.

    * The serial number can be found on a sticker at the back of the console or at Settings > System > Console info.

    - Once registered, its warranty status will be displayed next to the device's name.
    - If you'd like to issue a service order for your device, please click on "See details" and then select "Start order" from the "Device Coverage" section.

If your Xbox console or Xbox accessory is no longer covered by your Standard Limited Warranty, you may be eligible for out-of-warranty service for a fee. Please refer to the following Xbox Support page for more information on out-of-warranty service orders: https://support.xbox.com/help/hardware-network/warranty-service/getting-your-product-serviced

    -------

Please feel free to reach out if you have any further questions, I'd be happy to help.

    Best regards.
