Short for, Counter - Strike: Global Offensive. It's the newest installment in the Counter-Strike series and of course, it's the first Counter-Strike that's going to launch after a 7-8 year break or so.

Well, Counter Strike is on Steam, and the support there is enormous, I think, so it's not something to just move away from by being old.

Valve banned my Steam account and never gave me an explanation, since that day (2008 or 09') I'll never buy anything from Steam again. I wasted €30 for nothing to have CS Source unable to play on genuine rooms.

But yeah, CS + CS Source are excellent fps games.
