    Xbox Core Controller vibrating but not turning on.


    This is more for those that prefer to use speakers when playing games. I have 2 xbox controllers; one older white one from the xbox one era(micro-usb), and a newer xbox core controller that utilizes the usb-c port. If you have been dealing with the issue that your controller will vibrate but not turn on, its because the provided usb to usb-c cable will not be enough even in usb3.0 ports. only usb-c to usb-c will have enough to power it. So if you use a sound bar or speakers that is ALSO using that usb-c port on your motherboard you are out of luck. Sure, I can use my old xbox controller and it will work perfectly, but I want to use my fancy new pink controller and I cant unless I wanna use my headset. I'm sure this has already been posted, but just in case anyone uses and Razer Leviathan sound bar and wants to get the Xbox Core controller I highly recommend just getting an older model controller. Unless you have more than 1 usb-c port of course.

    If controller vibrations are distracting or make it hard to use your controller, you can adjust their intensity or turn them off completely.

    To change vibration, download the Xbox Accessories app from the Microsoft Store. Then, plug in your controller, open the app, and select
    Configure.

    • For an Xbox Elite Controller, select the configuration profile you want to change. Then select
      Edit > Vibration and move the sliders to adjust vibration settings.
    • For the Xbox Wireless Controller, select Turn on vibration to turn controller vibration on or off.

    Select Accessibility > Controller, then select Vibration Settings.
    Choose the controller you want to edit and select Configure.
    For an Elite Xbox controller, select the configuration profile you want to edit. Then Select Edit > Vibrate and move scrollable sliders to adjust vibration settings.
    For the Xbox Wireless controller, select Enable Vibration to turn controller vibration on or off.

    Your Xbox Series X/S controller should still work normally on Xbox One console.

    Make sure to change your vibration settings.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select Profile & system > Settings.
    Select Accessibility > Controller, and then select Vibration settings.
    If you have multiple controllers, choose the controller that you want to change and select Configure.
    For an Elite Series 2 controller, select the configuration profile that you want to change, select Edit > Vibration, and then move the sliders to adjust the vibration.
    For an Xbox Wireless Controller, select Turn on vibration to turn vibration on or off.

    Update: Turns out vibration is turned ON for my system, but the controllers don't vibrate.

    So I guess the issue is really that when any controller is connected to my system, when it's supposed to vibrate, it turns off.
