  1. Xbox Core Controller Issues on PC

    I have bought my new Xbox Core Controller about less than a week ago. It is working fine and has no issues besides one;

At (random) times, sometimes often, sometimes less so, the controller will blink twice (from time to time, it can blink thrice or even four times, independent from what I'm doing), and during that blinking, I can not use it in any shape or form before the
X lights up permanently again. This extremely hinders my gameplay, because this can easily (but not always) happen when I'm in a game match, which then gives me an automatic disadvantage for several seconds.

I have spent a lot of time on searching up stuff, and this is what I've done so far:

-Replaced the batteries from the ones that came with the controller, to the ones I've bought afterwards

-Disabled HID-Compliant Game Controller in Device Manager (caused a blue screen each time I tried to connect the controller again, fixed it by removing it from the bluetooth list and readding it along with HIDCGC returning automatically)

-Disabled energy saving mode in the HID Bluetooth device standing for the controller

-Put emphasis on high performance in the battery

None of these things actually helped me out.

Is this issue somehow connected to the Nvidia settings of that specific game? Maybe something Steam-related? I can't for the life of me fix this issue, and can't find any discussions that actually have the answer to this.

Something I forgot to add before editing: The Xbox Overlay Bar that shows up when you press X says that the HID-compliant game controller is "critical".

    :)

The Crew 2 looks set to be the best game to hit Xbox One in 2018

Likes Calm person. I did try that once but got an error code. I guess Xbox doesn't like my Intel Core i7 GTX 1070 SSD machine then. And Microsoft is constantly issuing updates cause there always appears to be something wrong with the patches. Remember PC's
are made in a vast array of different configurations. And everything on my pc and Xbox is up to date. I'll just play it on my Xbox One X thanks.
What error message did you get? I use a Xbox One controller on two PCs, one running 8.1 and the other Windows 10, and neither of them have had any trouble connecting to the controller.

Of course I don't have your exact setup but both of mine are quite different from each other. An i5 4460 (4 cores, 4 threads) and a GTX 970. The other being a Xeon 5670 (6 cores, 12 threads, and overclocked to 4.5ghz) with a GTX 760. The latter machine only
having two SSDs for drive space.

My Xbox is showing a message saying there's an issue with Xbox Live core services.

Interestingly, I am having no issues with my Xbox Live on my pC and it's logged in fine, just my console

STOP comparing a PC to a console...

Both PC's and Xbox use Microsoft technology. I use to play the Sims 3 on PC but now can't because it keeps crashing even though my PC's only 2 years old. Have had no probs with the Sims 3 on console. With PC versions you have to worry about PC compatibility
like making sure you have a specific graphics card or CPU speed. Thats why I quit PC gaming and do it on Xbox now. Intel Core i7 processors have is it 4 cores. Xbox One will have an AMD EIGHT CORE Jaguar APU -:)

    [/quote]

An i7-4770k 4 core would smoke the 8 core in actual gaming performance. More cores is not always better for gaming. Many Macs have 8 core CPUs but would struggle with Battlefield 3 on PC even on Low settings.
