    Xbox Cord Red Light

Recently, my xbox's cord stopped working and my xbox wouldn't turn on. I tried using someone else cord and it worked just fine. I went to the store and got a new one and tonight the cord went red again. I did all the steps that were recommended by Microsoft on the help page (unplug everything, Overheating, etc,.) and it still is red. Tried using the other cord that I borrowed before and it works just fine. What is wrong?

    :)

    Me3 edition 360 won't stay on

If all for lights are red, remove and reconnect all the cords, on the xbox and your tv. If all four lights are red, than its usually an error with the video cord

    Xbox Cord Red Light

    Hi there,

can you provide a bit more information, that should hopefully help people to provide more specific steps to try.

What is the model of the Xbox console, is it a Xbox 360, Xbox One, Xbox One X, Xbox One S, Xbox Series X or Xbox Series S console?

    a mind of its own

When the console shuts its self off does it have any red lights/flashing red lights on the power brick (Big thing on the power cord) or the Xbox

Red light only on new games???

    1) Does the red light only appear on that particular game?

    2) When you check the Xbox power cord, what color is the light?

One Red light just after turning on the Xbox 360 Slim (no error code)

Hi there! The one red light indicates that there was a system error. No worries, as you can diagnose and treat it. Here's how:

    1. Unplug everything from your Xbox, including the power cord, controllers, flash drive, the whole shebang. Please also disconnect the power box from the AC cord as well. Then, put the power cord back together and power on the console by pressing the power
button on the console, not the controller.

    2. If the console still has the red light, it's time to remove the hard drive. All you have to do is to turn off your console, press the latch on your hard drive, lift up and remove it. While the hard drive is off, turn on your console.

    3. If there is no red light, reattach the hard drive to the console and restart. If there is no red light when the hard drive is removed, you will need a new hard drive. If there is a red light, then...

    4. Disconnect any USB flash drives or any memory units attached to your console. Restart your console. If there is still a red light, you console needs to be repaired.

    Hope this helps!
