    Xbox One controllers keep breaking!

    Hey BendingGecko744,

Thank you for responding so quickly - obviously this issue is not something we want to happen. Where have you been buying the controllers from / replacing them from?

I totally understand that you're gentle with the controllers, and the issues don't seem like something that should happen with parts falling off. Can I just check if you're ensuring that the controllers are fully updated also in the settings menu?

    Thanks,

    Xbox One controllers keep breaking!

The bumpers come loose and fall out. And ... this is rather difficult to explain, both joysticks loose the ability to control properly and leave you in a "looking up" or walking forward motion. I am not an "angry throw my controller" player and am pretty
gentle on my toys. Replacing the controller(s) is getting very old .... and costly. Thank you for asking

This topic keeps being closed after similar replies about changing batteries or updating software, what I can't understand is why a company like Microsoft is not smart enough to make sure the controllers they produce can actually stand up to a little wear.
I've have my xbox one for less then a year, and not hard on my controllers and yet it started to act up, drift in the right stick, b button not working properly or at all. And you have the same stupid replies from them, have you done this, you should check
this. Why don't you go back and make the xbox 360 controllers work for the xbox one, same for the user interface, , which is my less confusing and user friendly. No you tell us to replace the controller, why only a 90 day warranty, really that's faith in your
product. Sad from such a huge company that you don't think of the people you rely on to buy your product.

This is starting to look like a RROD situation. I shouldn't have 2 failing controllers with drifting analog sticks when it hasn't even been two years yet. I shouldn't have to pay 60 dollars to replace my controllers or learn how to solder to fix them because
you are not supporting your defective product. I have been a loyal customer and now I feel like I'm being crapped on. This problems gonna get bigger and bigger till it makes news. It is just a matter of time.

Im on to my 6th controller, at 50 quid a pop its a rather expensive habit! the first 3 started drifting (left analog) so i started using aluminum analog sticks which stops the drift.. the problem thats plaguing me now is the bumper buttons oh and the d-pad..
it seems like they (MS) create a cash cow and exploit it/us to the maximum.. if PS had a forza i'd be already be gone!

  9. The Xbox One controllers were made inferior to the Xbox 360 controllers, the housing on the analog mechanism replaced metal features with cheap (VERY CHEAP!) plastic parts that break, this is detailed on numerous YouTube videos, even worse is I tried reporting
it on here so they can do something, and they delete any post I make that illustrates the broken mechanism

if you want to see for yourself, look for a [Mod removed] it explains that most likely the origin of the problem is Foxconn who makes the controllers, they're also responsible for failing PS4 controllers because they use the same analog
mechanisms as the failing Xbox One controllers, they contrast those to the sturdy nature of the Xbox 360 controllers, which are solid metal and made to last.

Anyhow, you think buying a new controller is worse, imagine how angry all those people are who are about to spend $150 on those Elite controllers only to have those break within a matter of months.

I really think MS is avoiding a recall. They should reflect on how they're getting sued for faulty drives last gen and realize it's legally and fiscally prudent to recall all controllers, sue Foxconn, have them eat the cost of replacing the inventory in
circulation... or, they could update the Xbox One OS to allow for use of wireless and wired Xbox 360 controllers, that would be problem solved from my end.

  10. sorry, that video link once again [Mod Removed] and it explains how and why of why your controllers keep breaking, spread the word, maybe if they get enough bad attention they'll be pressured to do what they should have done in the first
place, fix the production, offer free replacements for flawed ones, or at very least start adding more durable designs to the market (that aren't the $150 elite controller)

I also got the same issue with BOTH my controllers, and Microsoft dared to ask me 60$ each to replace them, which is the same cost in every store I can go to! This is pretty shameful as I've been a loyal Microsoft client for years, and I would totally accept
my responsibility by paying if I broke them, but in this case there is clearly a defect that MUST be fixed by Microsoft by replacing them for free!

However, the controller which is less than 2 years old with reasonable and standard use has failed. the durability of this product is in question, under UK law under section 14 of the Sales of Goods Act 1979 goods must be of reasonable qualtiy, durable and
fit for its purpose. Durablitiy appears to be a problem, given that its intended use of this product for sale by Microsoft or that a defect in design that has not held up with correct use has lead to a malfunction. Under this law, goods must demonstrate durablity
for up to 6 - 10 years. So I would like to know how I can resolve this problem and either have the controller repaired or replaced without having to resort to any court/legal action, as I'm finding it difficult to get any answer from support team or have anyone
escalate the matter with another team to resolve the matter. Can someone please provide help with this matter other than, it's not in warranty.

  12. Hey everyone!

I am sincerely sorry to hear about the controller issues and any frustrations this may have caused. If you are experiencing the controller drift issue specifically, you will need to have your controller replaced. You can request a replacement controller
through our Online Service center. If you encounter any issues with requesting a replacement, reach out to phone support from our Contact Us page for
further assistance. As a replacement is the next step if your controller is continuing to drift, I am going to lock this thread. If you are experiencing a different issue, please feel free to create a new thread. Be sure to include the details of the issue
as well as any troubleshooting steps that you have tried. Thanks in advance!

    Hey there Walidouu!

I went ahead and replied to the other thread that you posting in here. When you get a chance, go ahead and check out my reply. In the future, please
    only create one thread. Thanks!
