Xbox controller's analog sticks and triggers are the only buttons working

So you want the xbox controller too have 24 buttons,2 analog sticks,2 bumpers and 2 triggers?

In most cases, the Analog sticks and the 'A' Button work worst.

I would always expect the analogue sticks, A button and the LT/RT trigger to go first as they do take a pounding in almost every game.

There are only 2 predefined settings that are uneditable on Sge Genesis Classics, and I was under the default control scheme in the Xbox 1 Joystick OS.

If this is the fight stick arrangement, and assuming buttons and triggers are not cross mappable:

Becuase the triggers are only swappable with each other and are always > and <, ut’s impossible to remap to get this:

Even with the Xbox One Joystick OS

The only way you can do it is to make an "all digital mode" where the triggers are remappable as digital buttons both to and from the triggers.

Also what about the flip X axis on analog sticks?

First of all I was talking about submitting it to a company to make it an official licensed thing on Xbox.

Second my personal design does run through an Xbox Adaptive controller so it is running off an official Xbox PCB. So for both our purposes I'm playing off an official Xbox controller but I'm thinking this might be a good Mass Market design.

Third the idea of 180ing regular fight stick is exactly my design except that the button contour made so that it's easily 180able. Trying to reverse a regular fight stick doesn't help much because the contour would be against the grain of your wrist.

Fourth and final thing: it would be easier to remap a standard fight stick if the buttons were all reassignable.

The main problem is that left triggered right trigger can only be reassigned with each other and none of the other buttons.

If the game doesn't require analog triggers then maybe there should be a checkbox in the Xbox accessories app called fightstick mode or All Digital buttons mode where if you're willing to (temporarily) get rid of the analogness of the two triggers then what you gain back is the ability to remap them freely with all the other buttons and joystick directions.

Yes, I know t could work. You don't need an Elite conrtroller for it to work. Heck you don't even need a Microsoft-made controller.

I remapped buttons on the Power A "ring finger" Wired USB pad, where digital controls can be mapped to each other. Plus the ring finger buttons (as a function of the Power A controller) can be any button including a digitized version of a trigger.

(P.S. To any joystick hacker who doesn't know how to do analog to digital conversions: would maybe programming the ring finger buttons to be LT and RT and using those programmed digitized buttons to wire a fight stick come in handy? You don't need the analog
trigger to digital button conversion. That is as long as the memory feature of the ring finger buttons isn't destroyed n the stick making process.)

Heck, Even my PS2 Street Fighter 15th Anniversary Stick plugged into a PS2-> Xbox One controller adapter does work with the Xbox button OS.

But they are all limited by the same problem of only LT and RT are swappable with each other. The only way that can be avoided is to have a checkbox for "all digital/Fight Stick Mode"
