Xbox Controller

Hey, if anyone is able to answer this, it would be extremely helpful. I brought an controller about 2 or 3 years ago for Xbox One console, and it does connects. But then I heard that you can play the games on a laptop, by streaming it to my Window 10. To
which, yes, it work. But the controller don't. I have the latest Window 10 updated, along with my controller up to its latest update along with the Xbox One console. Yet, it's still do not connect when I tried using "Bluetooth," I tried following many pages
that say to use Bluetooth to connect, but it won't show up in the list at all to select. (This problem had been a plague for me for about 8 months now, if anyone is able to help me. Please, I would rather not buy a new controller. And I could just play it
on the living room, but I rather stay in bed and play.)
