    Xbox Controller will not turn on? I have new batteries and nothing is interfering with the console. It is also plugged into the console.

    Xbox one controller dead after pressing update

    I plugged my old Xbox one controller into my new Xbox one s and saw there was an available update. when i have pressed it my controller turned off and now wont turn back on even after changing batteries or plugging in via usb. any help?

    hey I have a problem where when I turn on my xbox one (only one in my house) my controller wont connect and my kinect will be plugged in and the xbox tells me its unplugged. I have new batteries in my controller and it still doesn't find my xbox??

    - Another new set of batteries, controller NOT plugged into the console.

    - Battery compartment EMPTY, controller is plugged into the console.

    - Battery compartment EMPTY, controller is plugged into the console with a different Micro-USB cord.

    Let's make sure we rule out the odd ends.

    Is this a genuine xbox one controller?

    How long have you had it?

    How long has it been blinking? Meaning when was the last time it worked correctly?

    Was this a new controller that came with the xbox one or purchased separately?

    Try removing the batteries from the controller. While they are out in plug the xbox one taking out the power cord. Wait 2 minutes. Put the batteries on the controller first put the battery back back on then plug the xbox one back in and plug in a USB to
    to controller and plug the other end in the xbox one wait until it works then unplug the USB press and hold the xbox button on the controller to get the menu that says turn off xbox or controller...pick one after it does turn it on using the xbox button on
    the controller to see if it works.

    I have the same behavior with my new Xbox One S controller. However, the controller will not work at all with the plug and charge battery. Does your S controller at least power on with the battery?
