xbox controller won’t turn on and makes hissing noises

This tool provides troubleshooting steps for you to resolve you controller issue. If the Wizard identifies a need for a replacement, you will have to sign in and enter the controller serial number in the Controller Warranty Check Form to determine the controller warranty status (based on initial controller activation date).

If you have warranty, you will be able to request a replacement via the Hardware Webform.

If it is out of warranty, you will be directed to where you can purchase a new controller.

Hello, I am experiencing the exact same issue. I got myself some new headphones and there is a loud hissing noise when connected to the Xbox One S controller. The volume decreases, when turning mic monitoring all the way down (it has a line-in mic), but
is never fully disappears.

Yep, it's a known problem and has been affecting quite a few consoles. You can get in touch with Microsoft and ask for a replacement, although the replacement I got had the same problem...

I tried doing a hard reset and it did not work. I’ve tried restarting both router and Xbox numerous times. Any network setting I try to set manually won’t go through. The MAC address won’t restart after it’s entered. The IP addresses won’t go to the next screen after entering the Gateway IP. What is left to try?

Update:

Now my Xbox won’t turn on. I hit the button, it’s lights up and it makes the noise but immediately turns off. I had to unplug the power source for it to turn back on.

I can also confirm the hissing noise as well. It's absolutely ridiculous. Can they not release a decent headset?
