Xbox controller wont turn on after i attempted to update controller

So I decided to update my controller because ive never done it before and thought it couldnt hurt. After about 50% progress it stopped and said it couldnt update it any further. The only problem now is that my xbox controller doesnt even turn on even when
its hooked up with a usb. Not sure what to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My xbox controller wont turn on after trying to update it (it failed) it wont even let the light blink o the xbox button

xbox one controller drifting

hi i have read the posts about xbox one pad drifting and mine is doing the same i have tried to update the controller like xbox advise people have been told and now my controller wont turn on after plugging it into my xbox going to setting and using the
controller update now my pad is dead

Are you using the play and charge kit batteries, rechargeable ones, or normal batteries, also is the USB cord tip bent or any type of damage, also try to update your console first then retry the steps. If you have another controller have you tried to update
that one also? You can also try to do a soft Factory Reset, then update the console, then try to update the controller.

I tried using rechargeable batteries and normal batteries and they still wont turn on my controller. I know they have power because it works with my other controller. The usb cord tip isnt bet or anything it worked fine up until the time i tried updating
my controller. Im debating on updating my other controller because i dont want it to mess up that one as well.

http://support.xbox.com/en-US/ will have to get involved. Contact them or call, at 1-800-4-myxbox and choose hardware, let them know what the issue is and see what they can do. Also if you have
a friend nearby you can try to update it on their console. Did you try to do an update to your console?

1. My controller wont turn on at all for any of the games on my pc

2.It was working perfectly but now (as i said) wont turn on after not using it for maybe 3 days.

3.The usb-c cable is connected properly

4.the controller dosent have batteries (its an xbox elite controller) and when i put the controller on the charger nothing happens.

My controller also dosent turn on at all so i cant check if it needs updated.
