    Xbox controller won’t sync wirelessly or with the usb cable connection


    My controller refuses to connect to my xbox wirelessly or with the usb cable... it refuses to work, ive tried everything you name it. From connecting it to a usb to trying to sync to the xbox to shutting the console down completely to restarting my router..
    everything. The controller will connect at times but only for like 1 minute or 2 minutes at most then it just disconnects again and wont reconnect. Im very confused. I know its not a battery issue because i put a fully charged rechargeable battery in it and
    it still wouldnt work, but worked for my other controller. HELP PLEASE!!!

    Thanks for trying. Could you plug in your controller using a USB cable to your console? Once connected, press the sync button on your controller for 3 seconds. It should unpair your controller wirelessly.

    Rare problem with new xbox one controller

    If the Sync button is not working, simply get a standard Micro USB cable, and connect your controller with the console.

    Every controller you connect to a console via Micro USB gets automatically bound to that console.

    Just be aware, that you need to use a Micro USB data cable. Some Smartphone charging cables with Micro USB connector only have power but no data lines connected (to save money). So a phone charging cable might not work.

    With your controller connected, launch the Xbox Accessories App, and check if the controller firmware is up to date.

    After you made sure the controller is up to date, and works with the USB cable, you can then disconnect the cable, and the controller should work wirelessly.

    Hello my problem is my sync button is broken so I can’t connect my controller to my Xbox and my Xbox is Xbox one and I tried to fix it but it didn’t work I hope you give me a real solution

    Hi Tx! Since your Xbox One sync or pair button is broken, I am afraid that you can no longer wirelessly connect your controller directly to your console. The best option we can do to use your controller is by connecting it using a USB cable.

    As much as I appreciate your help, it doesn't work. I believe I have tried everything, syncing, rebooting, usb cables, updating, and just about every "by the book" response. I think it may be a bad controller. The Xbox button just wouldn't turn on the XBO
    wirelessly, but I then connected it to the console with an usb cable and it turned it on...
