Xbox controller (without a console) RT button behaves like LT in cars

OK after pressing the Xbox button to bring the guide up and without pressing any other button on the controller try pressing the A button twice and the console should then return to the homescreen. If the console does return to the homescreen then the console
is behaving how it should.

Hi Jamie unfortunately I can't directly help you with resolving your issue however next time you console starts with a black screen before restarting the console try pressing and releasing LT , RT & Y buttons all together on the controller to force the dashboard
to refresh and hopefully get your dashboard back without needing to restart the console.

It sounds to me like a bad controller. Honestly I have never had that problem. On my 360 controllers those buttons are just like the analog stick the harder you press the more response you get. If it wasn't that way then every car game that used the LT and
RT would be full throttle or not, and that's not the way it is at all. I really would return that controller if you can or get another because it sounds like it is having issues.

Is the controller still under warranty, that is another way you can get this problem resolved.

The elite controller is difference in the sense that if you want to quickly hit a button on the back of the controller which could be any button on the front or RT, LT, RB and LB! It's really good for competitive play

I know about the adaptive controller but I rather use the normal controller. It works for me. Is there a reason why you left out RT and LT?

If I understand correctly, your not going to add RT and LT as remapping choice? That means I must find another way to use RT and LT as I like because the adaptive controller is not for me. I bought a xbox because I thought it would be great only to find
out your accessibility option for remapping does not include RT and LT.If Sony has it on PS4, it should be possible on Xbox One X so I can use a normal controller.
