Xbox controller with Bluetooth won’t connect to my PC now

So i bought a new controller with bluetooth for my computer about 3-4 weeks ago. At first, everything was fine and had no problems connecting. Today, I tried to connect my controller and it wouldn’t connect. I tried turning my computer on and off, disconnecting
it from the computer, making sure everything was updated, etc. The controller is fine as it works when i plug it in with USB wire and so is the bluetooth as I can connect my other Xbox One controller and it works.

I’m pretty sure it’s the controller itself at this point. Even when paired, it refused to connect and when i disconnect it, it weirdly cycles though being some other device to being recognized as a mouse, pen, etc. back to a gamepad and doesn’t normally
disconnect as my other xbox one remote. I have absolutely no idea what to do at this point . Any help would be highly appreciated.

The same thing is happening to me except now it won’t even show up in my Bluetooth area because I forgot the device hoping that that would make it connect but now the option isn’t even there to connect because the Xbox controller doesn’t show up on my iPad as a Bluetooth option.

Already looked at the page. Nothing worked.

In that case, it might really be that the controller is defective.

If you also have a Xbox One console, go to
https://devicesupport.microsoft.com and choose your Xbox One console (register it first, if not already done so).

Then say you have issues with an accessory and choose your controller.

Hi Keith, There are two ways to connect an Xbox controller to a PC: with a USB cable or via Bluetooth.

Connect with a USB cable

Plug one end of the USB cable into the USB port on your PC.

Plug the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on your Xbox controller.

The controller should automatically connect to your PC.

Connect via Bluetooth

Make sure your Xbox controller and PC have Bluetooth.
Activate Bluetooth on your PC.

Press and hold the pairing button on the Xbox controller for 3 seconds.

The controller should appear in the list of Bluetooth devices on your PC.

Select the Xbox controller from the list and click "Connect."
