Xbox Controller Update With Mirco Usb not working properly

So Got a new headset for my xbox one today and my controller needed a update, I plugged it in and all my cords are in firmly but for some reason my xbox is saying that it is not connected by the usb cable but i am looking at it and it is connected and I
am not sure what I need to do, is there anyone else who is dealing with this or am I the only freak accident that is dealing with this problem.

Xbox One Controller wont update

having the same problem and I have tried it with two different controllers and got the same thing, also tried it with 3 different mirco usbs. I was able to update my controller the first day I got the one, but not sure why it is not letting me update it

Can´t connect two Xbox one controller(No BT) to pc

I tired to connect two Xbox one controller per Cabel to my pc. Each controller one mirco-USB cabel (USB-2.0) but only 1 controlller lit up and is connected the other one doesen´t lit up although it was been connected.

Please reponse fast.

 

You may want to try the following:

Remove the batteries from the controller;

Attach the USB cable to it;

Attach the other end to the USB port on the left side of the console (not rear);

Try again to start the update.

If that does not work, try power cycling (support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console) the console and then try the update again.

 

I have done that many times and that hasn't worked yet and I do not use the back usb ports

 

After you power cycle, can you use the USB-connected controller to power on the Xbox? Does that help it recognise the controller at all?
