Xbox controller unresponsive after update

    Xbox controller unresponsive after update


    I was trying to update my controller hoping it would let me use my new headset I had just bought and after the update had began the USB cable came out of the controller and the update was stopped. At that point the controller cut off and wouldn't turn back
    on. I know for a fact both charge and play batteries are charged up and I even tried brand new AA batteries and still nothing from the controller it's completely unresponsive. It's extremely aggravating and adds to the long list of problems I've had with my
    Xbox one since purchasing it. It's to the point I'm seriously considering taking it to the game store and trading for a PlayStation. Please help anything would be greatly appreciated.

    Hey there,

    If the controller is unresponsive after the failed update, it would need a repair which you can setup through our Device Support page.

    Have You Ever Had To Do A Hard Reset?

    I've had to do 2. The first for an unresponsive controller. The second was in relation to the Update preview.

    Same issue here just the one x controller has the issue, my elite and other controller seem to work fine.
    So for sure the controller played find for multiple hours with old controller but as soon as I turn one the project scorpio controller start having issues. It will become unresponsive within a few minutes, 8f i leave it alone starts responding again after
    a few minutes but become unresponsive if I try to use it. Any update if this will be fixible by patch? Or do I need to request replacement.

    plugged in my head set 'official Microsoft" and nothing.

    So I tried to update my xbox controller and when I plugged it in the interface was waiting for me to press " A " showing the controller on the screen.

    Then the controller became unresponsive.

    Still have the Kinekt unplugged after a hard reset ' while the console was on. " so WTF.

    Maybe that is what is going on but I bought the stereo Official Xbox head set.
