    Xbox Controller Unable to connect to Xbox


    To preface, it's not the Xbox. All of our other controllers work fine.

    The Controller isn't recognised even when connected the Xbox via USB (tried all ports.)

    The Controller can:

    - Connect to a Phone or PC via Bluetooth

    - Connect to a PC via USB

    The Controller CAN'T:

    - Connect to Xbox One S via USB

    - Connect to Xbox wirelessly

    On the rare occastion it does 'pair' the Xbox doesn't recognize it in the Accessories app and can't give input. It shut's off and unpairs 5 seconds later.

    Anyone know what's wrong with it?

    It's out of warrenty.

    Have tried all the tricks on you tube yet no it’s not possible for me to connect a controller unless it is with cable.

    DS3 is Dark Souls 3, I am playing it through steam and no it had the issue the moment I connected it to my pc. I am unable to use the Xbox Accessories App to update my controller because it does not recognize a controller being connected. When I look in my device manager the controller is labeled "HID-compliant game controller" I am able to deactivate it and it deactivates my controller. But it seems that Xbox Accessories doesn't register my controller properly even if my computer does. I am also unable to use my Xbox Elite 2 controller with steam but it works with other games. I've already updated both controllers using my Xbox One S.
