    Xbox controller turns off after I turn it on


    So I recently just moved, before my controller was working perfectly fine. I unpacked my Xbox and set everything up. I go to turn on my controller by pressing the home button, and it’ll turn on, flash, then dull out.

    It’s a wireless controller. I’ve put in fully charged batteries, I’ve even tried to plug it into the wall socket using a charging cord with the charging port at the top of the controller to see if it would work and it still won’t turn on.

    I’ve never had this happen before and I’ve never had a problem with this controller until now. Is there a way to fix this or do I just need to buy another controller?

    I used the controller to turn off the console and the controller stayed on after it went off. When I tried to use the controller to turn on the console with the controller the controller came on but not the console. Everything works fine after after a hard
    reset. But only until I turn it off and restart it, then it happens all over again.

    I don't think the controller should turn off when it is wired into your xbox. A wireless controller will turn off after 15 minutes to save battery though.

    The same thing is happening to me. The power is off then the console just turns itself on. I turn it off at the button and a little while later it turns on again.

    If you have a plug and play controller plugged in it keeps it on. Otherwise IDK.

    The issue could also be caused by other devices that somehow interfere with the console. It's a long shot,but who knows.
