Xbox Controller Support on Windows

Over and over I see forum post here, the Windows community forums, and across the internet dealing with wireless and wired Xbox controllers randomly disconnecting in games. I have felt this sting as well and thought I would share my experience through the
years with this in hopes to give clarity to those in rage, but also give all in rage over this something to bump to get attention brought to this as there is no place to get straight forward help with the matter leaving the ones searching for it very frustrated
with Microsoft and simply go buy PS4 controllers to play on their pc. As an Xbox fanman lol that saddens me.

I do not believe this issue can be answered straight forward. I have been gaming for a while on console, but have been dabbling in trying to get into pc games since early 2000's. My issue mouse and keyboard lol, but starting with the big Xbox controller,
360, and now the Xbox One, one thing has remained the same for me no matter what pc I was on. The controllers start off making me feel like I could get into this game and then disconnects. It happens randomly as well. Disconnect may happen after an hour or
two of play time or 10 min, but mostly at the most inopportune time like in a boss fight as if someone's finger is on a button and then they say "NOW!" lmao.

Over the years I have searched for answers over and over with each Xbox system and their respective controllers to only get drone like responses read from a clipboard over the phone. I have found others with similar issues (like here), but as you scroll through
these type of posts you find a lot of things you have tried to no avail and a lot of people stabbing in the dark. Very rare the original poster finds the answer and usually goes inactive on their post due to frustration.

In these type of forums you do get support from people verified by Microsoft, but again sometime they give drone like responses like they are only responding to hit a pay quota. Very techy responses, but when you wade through the BS you can tell they are trying,
but don't really understand what is going on as they have you uninstalling/reinstalling stuff, hunting drivers down, and pulling your hair out lol. To be honest though, there are a lot of variables to consider;

The game itself and any anti hacking software it may or may not run,

If the game has native gamepad support,

if not the gamepad emulation software you use also becomes a variable (Xpadder, Pinnacle Game Profiler, etc.)

Your pc/system,

The xbox controller it's self and its type (xbox, 360, One, Elite).

With all the cross platforming Windows 10 and Xbox are doing right now I assumed this was not an issue anymore, but sadly it still is and there still is no exact fix for it until someone takes it a bit more seriously. We are console gamers trying to play
on a pc though lol. I do hope it is not master race sabotage.
