Xbox controller stick drift. Not under warranty.

The right stick for my special edition xbox controller drifts up. It's also not under warranty anymore (3 month warranty? really???), even though I got it less than a year ago. I don't live near a Best Buy restore station, and Microsoft refuses to help me with this issue. I've gone through all of its recommended troubleshooting, but since it's out of warranty they could not care less. I want to fix my special edition controller. It's the one with the purple/blue galaxy, sparkling effects. I don't want to have to pay $100 for a refurbished one. Besides buying new controller (hopefully with more than a 3 month warranty ), I don't know what else to do.

It sounds like you might have stick drift on the right stick. If your controller is under warranty, I'd try to get it repaired or replaced.

Left stick drift is a common issue with controllers. Your best bet is to contact Xbox Support and see if you can have it replaced under warranty.

It sounds like the controller is having the left stick drift issue, so if it is a new controller you should ask to replace it and if the controller is no longer under warranty a repair should be considered.
