Discus and support Xbox Controller Settings in XBoX on Consoles to solve the problem; I was wondering if there was a way to make it to where my Xbox won't turn on using my controller.     I was wondering if there was a way to make it to where my Xbox won't turn on using my controller. I just got an adapter to use my controller wirelessly with my pc and every time I turn my controller on, my Xbox does too so I have to turn if off every time.
    Is there some way in the settings I can make it to where I can turn on my controller without turning on my Xbox?

    Hi, you should do so if the Xbox comes on you have to configure some things. But if you can't I would tell you to unplug the Xbox and then turn on the pad without the Xbox on. In the present case.

    Usually, if the controller is paired with the PC, it should not turn on the console anymore, as it should only be able to be bound to one single devic.

    There is no setting to "force" the console to stay off when a bound controller is turned on. What Adapter did you get? Is it a Bluetooth adapter or an actual Xbox Wireless gaming adapter?

    Can you try to connect the controller to the PC via a Micro-USB data cable (be aware that some smartphone charging cables only have the power lines connected, but have no data lines, so the controller won't be properly detected with such charging cables)?

    If you connect it once with an USB cable, the controller should "forget" it was bound to the console, and now that it's bound to the PC, should not turn on the console anymore.

    I'm not entirely sure on this because I only use the controller on my console but have you tried only turning on controller via plugging it into your PC?

    It's like a pokemon. Except he plays Reach and is pretty good from what I hear. I think Speedy has a crush. Reach default does feel better than H3 default to me. Does anyone here use those Kontrol Freak nubs?

    @CSB: If you have a 360S could you plug the extra cord controllers into the back? I'll have to test that later.
