    xbox controller seem to malfunction because of a headphones driver


    Hello, so a while back ago my xbox one wireless controller's RT and LT button would press themselves and the controller would disconnect randomly at times too while using them for my laptop however, they seem to work flawlessly without any problems on a friend's laptop.

    I tried figuring out what could be causing this and here is what I did:

    1.Reinstalled the bluetooth drivers and ran the troubleshoot app.

    2.updated the controller's firmware.

    3.updated windows.

    4.created a new local adminstrator account.

    and none of these seem to have worked. The only thing that did work though is reinstalling an old audio drivers (although that didn't fix the random disconnecting.), going back to the new ones made the RT and LT buttons go haywire again.

    Any idea why would an audio drivers be related to a controller functioning? Would be glad to recieve any help about my controller's random disconnections. ( they work fine wired with the old bluetooth drivers, and don't disconnect when using them on another laptop.) Thanks in advance.

    Please try it.

    I can advise you different things to try or make a bit more compatible the latest audio driver available (but I can't guarantee you nothing)

    1. Try uninstalling the most major recent windows update from your system:

    2. If you're able to update your system to windows 11, proceed with that

    3. Perform an in-place upgrade for your system just in case there is some corrupted files on it

    4. Try reinstalling the previous Windows 21H1 update to see if you're able to use the controller properly on that one

    A "quick fix" could be get the Xbox Wireless adapter for Windows, in that way you're going to connect the controller directly to that device and you're not going to use your Bluetooth card

    Well, could be that the audio driver also handle the sound and the latest think that your RT and LT buttons are a wireless headset

    The controller disconnects having both old and new audio driver or only when you install the new?
    Also, this disconnection happen via Bluetooth only? Or also via cable?

    I haven't tried sending feedback to the manufunctioner driver, also I use windows 10.

    Did you tried sending this feedback to the manufacturer driver?

    Also, are you on Windows 10 or 11?
