Xbox controller screws fall apart inside the handles

Tonight a screw fell into the trigger and blocked my input. I was tempted to call in for repairs, but since the warranty has already expired I had to open and fix the problem myself, [Mod Removed - Please do not post or discuss self-repair on our
forums.]

Serious Opinions - new xbox controller feelings

I can't help but notice (and even compare) the squishyness of the Xbox One controller compared the 360's. Keep thinking that one of these days the XO's controller is going to fall apart in my hand.

Power Brick noise - does it have an internal fan?

@ Lloydy, I looked at one to take apart and it was glued, I got the screws out but was afraid I break the darn thing getting it apart?

when things don't work correctly however explaining how to fix them yourself is against the rules and TOS.

Dynamic Sausage

I have heard that support are happily replacing controllers that suffer build quality issues but you have to send yours off first, essentially leaving you with no Xbox for about a week unless you have a second controller. I can vouch that the newer controllers
are a lot better, as have others in the past so it may be worth doing. Your call at the end of it.

I had this issue as well i just sent my controller off this saturday, when i tracked my package the fullfillment center recieved it today. When i called to set up the repair i got a free code for a 1 year xbox live. So i am waiting on my replacement to ship
back to me.

Day 1 controller has been bad from the beginning, The left side is sharp and you can see the board inside, also the rb doesn't hold. I've heard from others that the later editions are much better quality, I just haven't bothered replacing it. I'm sure if
you bought a current batch it would be ok.
