Xbox Controller Replacement - India

Hey guys,

I got a new Xbox One X about 4 days back (Amazon India). It seems like the controller that came bundled the console is faulty (right D-pad press is not detected at times). So I've reached out to MS support
for replacement and the entire process is confusing.

Created a service order in MS site.

Got the shipping label generated.

Packaged the controller and pasted the shipping label.

Contact FedEx for pickup. Now here starts the problem

FedEx is asking for a pickup number to process the package (for both pick-up and even if I offer to drop it). Contacted MS Support a few times and they are not sure about this pickup number. I've had multiple
cases created and closed due to some stupid decisions made by their support. Finally, got a new service order created with a new shipping label. Now, what should I do?

Should I just wait for FedEx to reach out to me?

I've tried calling MS on this number +91 11 6620 7713 (shared on the email for scheduling pickup), but most of the times no one is attending the call.

Is there any way to get this pickup number from support? Has anyone gone through this?

Usually with a repair of an accessory such as a controller you would need to take it to a local store/pick up location that is registered with that courier, As far as i know they don't come and collect the item from you unless its the console that is being
serviced.

Hi there!

Please ask the courier if the they are referring to the order number of your controller replacement. They should be able to give more info of the pickup number they are talking about.

I assume you would have tried this already but did you contact Xbox Support via chat. I had an altogether different issue with my warranty details and it was fixed by support. Hope you get a better response via chat.

Thanks for the suggestions, folks. The pickup number is not the same as order number. FedEx told me that they'll need the pickup even if I drop off(which doesn't make sense). That's the whole confusion

I'll just have to wait for a few more days

I did a return for a family member and had to take it to a store that was a pick-up point for the courier. That was last year and UK based, it maybe that you (OP) need to clarify if you have to take your parcel to a pick-up point, usually located in a
local store. The pick-up point then scans your parcel into the system and the courier collects from them.
