xbox controller refuses to connect.. and also fakes being on?????????????????

when i turn on my xbox controller it's "on", but it isnt even connected to anything

when i try to connect it to my console however, it doesnt even connect

(sometimes it "connects", then just does the thing)

anyways uh, if you could help with this that'd be great

(oh yeah, the console is an xbox one and the controller is a xbox one controller... like i needed to mention that the controller is an xbox one controller but anyways)

didn't even have to go through a power cycle, restarted the xbox and it worked

I'll recommend you do a power cycle to clear the system cache

- Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

- Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 2 minutes.

- Plug the console power cable back in. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on and check if it's all good.

Afterwards try to pair the controller again.

This is because the XBOX app will make fake XBOX one controller connection to your XBOX ONE

while you streaming. Thus while you start the streaming XBOX party app automatically switch to use that mic not actually exist of the fake controller.

There once was a simple solution to this problem which was to assign that fake controller to a guest account however that fake controller does not visible in the XBOX setting now so there just no way to solve that.

This just shows how stupid and incapable those who in charge of the XBOX services now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure if this is relevant, but my Xbox also sometimes doesn't connect wirelessly to my controllers and I have to hard reset. Occasionally if I connect via cord, it gets done and I can detach the cord and it stays connected. But more often than not, even
after getting positive feedback from the controller on a wired connection, the Xbox still won't recognize the equipment and refuses to connect. Repairing obviously doesn't work here either.

If the Xbox is using the same tech to connect to the wifi and the controllers, could this also be a problem?
