    Xbox Controller Randomly Moving Forward

So, after the latest update which i did on the 12th apparently everything went haywire on my controller.

On the Dashboard the joystick apparently doesn't move anything. Doesn't happen in settings or anything else that deals with Microsoft, but it will do it with Netflix or any game. I don't think it's something wrong with the controller because then it would
do it everywhere and not in specific places. I updated the controller already, but didn't work.

    Any suggestions?

    :)

  3. Left Analog Stick on Xbox One Controller

Anyone else having issues with the left analog stick randomly pushing forward since the last update? After I received the update, my controller constantly wants to move forward after a few seconds. It's never done this before and now it's happened in Battlefield
4, Titanfall Beta, and now my dashboard. I'll let go of the left analog stick, I'll stop moving forward and stand still... then all of a sudden I'll start creeping forward. Same with on my dashboard. I'll put my controller down and after a few seconds, it
will just move up and highlight my notifications icon.

Hey, sorry to hear you have a problem with your controller, I have a few things you can check and try.

Firstly - assuming your d-pad still works - go to settings > system > console and see if you have any updates to install.

If that is up to date then please try the following:

    • Press and hold the power button on your Xbox One for 10 seconds.
    • Once your console is powered off, unplug the power cord.
    • Remove the batteries from your controller and if you have your controller plugged in with a USB cable, unplug it.
    • Wait 5 minutes and then plug in your console and insert the batteries back in to your controller.
    • Power on your console and check to see if the issue is continuing to occur.
Hopefully that will fix it other wise you may need to have a chat with the support team.

That's an excellent idea and the support person made me do it.

Unfortunately that didn't resolve the issue. What a shame because i think it's just an update problem. There no way to clear the memory on the controller and reload the information?

    HI xinRAGEDrabbitx,

First, have you tried to see if there was an update for your controller? If so see the link below on how to update your controller with the latest firmware. Do you have a friend or family member with an Xbox One? If so I would try to take it to their home
and test the controller to see if it reproduces there. If it does then you know it's the controller. If not do not know anyone that has an Xbox One, or have a second Xbox One in your home, and your controller is within it's 90 day warranty I would try to send
it in for repair using the link below. Often time when there is a scrolling issue of the joystick when you do not press it, the issue does reside in the controller itself. See the link below to submit a repair for the controller.

Xbox One Controller Update (the link is for stereo headset, but it's the same process).

    Controller moves forward by itself.

Alright, so I am having the same issue and it started around my last update. At first I thought it was just Warframe, the game in which i first noticed it, but it is happening on every game and or app now. it does has something to do with the firmware update
on the controller or the console itself, because it was working fine and it doesn't do it on the homescreen, store, or anywhere else for that matter. It even works just fine when used in conjunction with any PC game I want to play. The only issue is in game.

Notice if it started to occur after the September update?
